Donna Francys Abbott

Donna Francys Abbott, 64, born on September 12, 1950, in Pasadena, California, passed away July 15, 2015. As a person with Down Syndrome, Donna was constantly underestimated. She spent her life proving people wrong over and over again. She finished high school and continued to take classes well into her 30s. She learned to read and write and could be found every morning reading scripture with her Mom and Dad at breakfast. She was a competitive swimmer and bowler and took part in the Special Olympics for several years. She loved to dance and according to her sister Sue, had several boyfriends. She traveled with her parents to all 50 states and Canada. Donna worked at Sam's Cafe as a server until she was well into her 50s before her Alzheimer's became too progressed. A social butterfly with a great smile, she was a friend to everyone she met. She was adored and loved by her immediate family (her father Don, mother Francys, Big brother Don, Big Sister Kathy and Big Sister Sue) and later on by her many nephews and nieces. While she will be missed terribly we know that she is now made complete in Heaven and once again laughing with her Mom and Dad and her Brother Don and Sister Kathy.
