Donald Lee Woolworth

July 22, 1943 — January 4, 2020

Donald Lee Woolworth, 76, born in Kansas City, KS, passed away January 4, 2020. He resided in Palm Desert, California at the time of his passing, succumbing to heart disease. Don is survived by his wife of 40 years, Karen Woolworth (née Kohler), his son Derrick, his brothers Rick, David, Danny, his loving grandsons Bradley, Brandon, Parker and Palmer Woolworth, Nieces and Nephews, and his "baby girl", Susie his chihuahua.

Don was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and a friend to everyone. He loved sports, especially basketball, football, and golf. Don was a consummate entrepreneur and the owner of U.S.A. Parts, Inc. in Grain Valley, MO. for 25 years. He was also a great neighbor, showing up with his welder or hammer and volunteering to fix a dock or help with a remodel. He was an all around good and loving person, and will be missed by everyone who knew him. He spoke softly and not often, but when he did everyone listened.

Don's family together with Karen are forever grateful for the great kindness shown by the residents of the Portola Country Club who filled Don's final days with friendship and love, and for all the help and support that they have given to Karen. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cathedral City, California. Additional remembrance events in the near future will be held in Kansas City and Lake of the Ozarks.
