Donn Rieu

Donald Rieu, loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on September 14, 2026, at home, surrounded by those who cherished him most. He was 66.

Born in Southern California, Donald grew up with a lifelong passion for sports. He followed the Dodgers, Rams, and Lakers with genuine enthusiasm—celebrating their victories, debating their losses, and sharing that excitement with anyone willing to talk sports. He also loved rock and roll and enjoyed going to rock concerts, especially the classic bands he grew up listening to.

He enjoyed playing golf and bowling, finding joy in friendly competition and the camaraderie that came with it.

He married Linda, the love of his life, and together they shared 34 years filled with love, laughter, and beautiful memories. Donald faced cancer with courage and quiet strength, never losing the kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit that defined him.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; his daughter, Samantha; his son, David; and his sister, Debra. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who carry his memory with gratitude for the years they were blessed to share with him.

A celebration of his life will be held for friends and loved ones. Date and location are not yet determined.
