He was preceded in death by his wife, Dawn Purcell, mother, Mary Sue Purcell, and brothers Jesse Purcell and Frank Purcell. Survivors include son Don Purcell, Jr., of Irvine, daughter Denise Durica (Jon) of Corona, grandchildren Jasmine Purcell and Evan Durica of Corona, Alec Durica of Oregon, fiancee Brooke Gehr of Norco, brothers Jack Purcell and Robert Purcell of Anaheim, and Joe Purcell of Centerville, Indiana.
