Donald Pratt

June 4, 1933 — March 4, 2025

Donald Pratt, 91, passed on March 4, 2025, in La Quinta, California. He was born on June 4, 1933, in Ogden, Utah. Donald dedicated 42 years of his career to Lucky Food Stores, where he began as a clerk and rose to Senior Vice President of the Southern Division. In this role, he oversaw operations, security, store systems, and trucking. His dedication and leadership left a lasting impact on the company and those who worked alongside him. After retirement, Donald embraced his love for travel. He and his wife explored all 48 contiguous states and Canada five times in their RV. Their adventures also took them overseas to 23 different countries while they were still working. Whether traveling or at home, Donald found joy in golfing and fishing wherever he could. Donald was known for his honesty, integrity, generosity, and his gift of listening—always eager to gather new ideas and share knowledge with others. He was a loving and caring man whose presence enriched the lives of those around him. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patti; his son Doug and daughter-in-law Lenora; his daughter-in-law Djuna; grandchildren Crystal (Bruce), Jeff (Stephanie), and Melissa (Travis); great-grandchildren Bradley, Skylee, Noah, and Maddox; and nephew David (Cindy). He was predeceased by his son Craig; his brother Roy; his parents, David and Ruth; and his cherished Lhasa Apsos—Brandie Alexandra, Coco Chanel, and Shania. His wife Patti shares these heartfelt words: "Our blessed life that God has provided and my precious memories will keep me going until it's my time to be with God. I love you, Don." Memorial service will be announced at a later date. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
