Donald Lynn Mendel Jr. was born in Hollywood, CA at Hollywood Hospital on March 30, 1929. He lived his entire life in Los Angeles County, only leaving to serve his country. At the age of 17, Don enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Japan. When he returned to LA he continued his education at Woodbury University in Burbank, CA . There he received an Associates Degree and met his wife-to-be Judith Marie Marsh. They were married in 1956, Judith past away in 2007.

Don was a local business owner for 39 years as the proprietor of the Printing Emporium in Northridge. He has been an active member of the community and a Rotarian for 35 years. He died at age 83 and is survived by: his son Curtis, currently living out-of-state, his son Craig and his family Karen, Lorenzo, Lucas and Liam.

Services will be held at 2:30, Monday, November 19th at in the Old North Church. Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills 6300 Forest Lawn Dr., LA, CA 90068
