Donald Morgan Lax

Donald M. Lax, age 83, of Indio, CA, beloved husband, father and grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 10, 2012 after a courageous battle with Parkinson's. Donald was born July 25, 1929, and raised in East Chicago, Indiana. He was the son of Forest and Mary (Budnyk) Lax. He attended Washington High School in East Chicago, Indiana, and was employed at Inland Steel Corporation for 35 years where he was a General Foreman in the Mason Department when he retired in 1985. Donald and his wife of 62 years, Teresa (Massmill) resided in Indiana until they relocated to California in 2010. Along with his wife Teresa, Donald will be fondly remembered by his loving family: son and daughter-in-law, Frederick and Barbara, and grandchildren Ashley and Kelsey, all of California; daughter-in-law Deborah, and grandchildren Jonathan, Michael, David, and Sarah, all of Connecticut; brother and sister-in-law, Jay and Helen; sisters Patricia Ryan and Marian Hoffman, all of Indiana. Donald was preceded in death by son, Kevin Lax, and sister, Jessie Carlson. Donald's family will have a Memorial Service this Friday, November 16, 2010 at 12 pm.
