Donald R. Lavigne

East Hampstead, NH: Donald R. Lavigne, 61, of East Hampstead and formerly of Moon Township, PA, died on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Massachusetts General Hospital after a brief battle with cancer.

Born, raised, and educated in Berlin, son of Lucille (Parent) Lavigne and the late Normand Lavigne, he graduated from Berlin High School with the Class of 1970. He went on to attend New Hampshire Vocational Technical College in Berlin. Mr. Lavigne moved to East Hampstead in 1991 and had previously lived in Moon Township, PA for 12 years.

He worked as a piping designer for Northstar Industries in Methuen, MA for the past 11 years and was previously employed by Stone and Webster and The Shaw Group. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, golfing, skiing, playing hockey, and coaching hockey for New Hampshire East Hockey.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sharon C. (Corno) Lavigne, his son Shawn M. Lavigne of Manchester, NH, his mother, Lucille (Parent) Lavigne of Berlin, NH, his brothers, Raymond Lavigne of Tampa, FL, Leon Lavigne of Phoenix, AZ, and Fred Lavigne of Center Sandwich, his sisters, Denise Horne of North Conway and Claire Lavigne of Phoenix, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Route 121A, Plaistow, NH.
