Donald Albrecht Kock

DONALD ALBRECHT KOCK, was born to Albrecht Heinrich Kock and Melitta Helen Schoenherr on April 14, 1935 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was their only child. Donald was diagnosed with cancer in 2015, and passed away on June 10, 2016 at the age of 81 at Windsor Court Assisted Living in Palm Springs, California. Preceding Don in death were his parents and loving companion of 40+ years, Aida Cardenas Acosta. At the age of 5, Don's family moved from Indiana to Sun Valley, California where he spent the rest of his youth near his four cousins, aunts and uncles. Family celebrations were always fun and numerous. Don was in the military for a short time. He married Lilia Cueto in 1971 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were later divorced. Don was always a hard worker, as he did most of the work on his rental properties, painting, repairs, and yard work. After he retired, Don moved to the Palm Springs/ Cathedral City area. His favorite hobbies were playing cards, deep sea fishing in California and Mexico; and digging for gold nuggets in Northern California. Don was a big tease, and will always be remembered for his generosity and kindness to whomever he would meet. What a glorious reunion he has now had with his loved ones! Rest in peace Don!
