Domenica Barbera

Domenica "Mima" Barbera, 71, born on September 16, 1945, in Burgio Sicily, Italy, passed away on June 28, 2017. She resided in Desert Hot Springs, California at the time of her passing. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother. Mima was the second of 2 daughters to Guiseppe Sparacino and Cira Colette. She spent most of her life in the New York City area. At the age of 9 she came to the United States with her family. At the age of 18 she met the love of her life, Angelo Barbera, she then went back to Italy to get married and had two boys, Enzo and Joseph. Her passion in life was cooking and being with family and friends. Mima worked in the retail jewelry business with her husband for many years. Her and her family settled in California in 1991 and eventually retired in the Palm Springs area. She had 3 wonderful grandchildren whom she adored! We will miss Mima , she had a positive influence on everyone around. A great person that we will never forget.
