Dolores Patera

Dolores (“Pinkie”) Hermine Patera (Fenton) was born on December 12, 1936 and passed away on January 25, 2026.

Dolores was born in Hollywood Hospital to Helen Fenton nee Elvigan and Perry Fenton. Dolores spent her childhood in Alhambra, California and lived in Azusa for the past 5 decades. She was married to Stanley G. Patera for 54 years before his death in 2009.

She is survived by her brother George Fenton (Judy Fenton), her sons Robert Patera (Kat Patera) and Reed Patera (Debra Patera), and daughter in law Corinne Patera, and predeceased by her son Paul Patera. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren and 2 grandchildren in law, Taylor Patera, Charles Patera, Lauren Patera (Andrew Zavala), Samantha Patera, and Christine Patera-Dominguez (Daniel Patera-Dominguez) and her great grandchild, Liliana Zavala (to Lauren Patera and Andrew Zavala).  

Dolores was a kind and gentle person who loved unconditionally and with all her heart. That is so apparent by the many people who loved her and who will miss her dearly. She will be in our hearts forever and will be remembered as a special mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and special friend to so many.

All who have known and loved her these past 89 years are welcome to attend her funeral services. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, CA. 

A formal viewing will take place on Thursday February 19th, 2026 from 5:00pm - 9:00pm at Forest Lawn Covina Hills. A funeral and graveside service for Dolores will take place at 2:30pm on Friday February 20th, 2026 at the Church of Our Heritage at Forest Lawn Covina Hills.
