In Loving Memory of Dolores Ochoa
Dolores had a special gift for making people feel seen, valued, and loved.
Dolores Ochoa, 81, of Rancho Mirage, California, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, June 20, 2026.
Dolores was born on March 23, 1945, in Los Angeles, California, to Ralph and Armida Ochoa. She built a remarkable career with Sysco, where she worked for more than 40 years. Known affectionately as "the voice of the company," Dolores became recognizable to people across the country, many of whom would approach her after hearing the familiar voice they had come to know and appreciate over the years.
To those who loved her most, she was known simply as "Dolo" and, to her grandchildren, "Grandma D-Dog." Of all her accomplishments, Dolores was most proud of being a mother and grandmother. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Dolores had a special gift for making people feel seen, valued, and loved. Her warmth, kindness, and genuine interest in others left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was the type of person who would call just to check in, offer words of encouragement, or make sure someone knew they were loved.
She embraced life with enthusiasm and joy. Dolores loved to travel, especially when it meant discovering a new destination with great blues music. She had a deep love for music and could often be found dancing, laughing, and bringing energy to every gathering. Her beautiful smile, infectious spirit, and positive outlook could light up any room. Wherever Dolores went, she brought people together and made life a little brighter.
Dolores is survived by her loving children, Edward Gonzales and Marisa Williams, son-in-law Bobby Williams; her cherished grandchildren, Jordan Dusean Martinez, Ellie Colby, Emily Gonzales, Aubrie Gonzales, and her beloved sister Cecilia Ochoa. She also leaves behind many extended family members, dear friends, and all those whose lives were touched by her love and friendship.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Armida Ochoa, and her brothers, Ralph Ochoa and Raymond Ochoa. Dolores will be remembered for her kindness, her unwavering love for family and friends, her joyful spirit, and her ability to make everyone around her feel special. Her legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
