Obituary

Diane Clue passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026, after a life well lived and deeply loved. For 66 years, she filled the lives of those around her with warmth, joy and encouragement.

Early Life

Diane was born on August 6, 1959 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her parents, Josephine and Leonidas Ross, raised her and two younger siblings, John and Angela, in Gardena, California.

Career and Accomplishments

Diane was a teacher for over 20 years, but becoming a teacher was not a quick journey for her. It was a labor of love and a calling she faithfully pursued in God's timing. While raising her children and caring for her family as a stay-at-home mother, she devoted herself wholeheartedly to the work she believed God had entrusted to her. She viewed motherhood as one of the most important callings of her life. During those years of investing in her own children, she also faithfully worked toward her degree, taking one or two classes at a time whenever family responsibilities allowed. Her persistence, patience, and unwavering commitment reflected the strength of character that defined her life.

When the time came to enter the classroom, she carried with her the same love, dedication, and nurturing spirit that had guided her as a mother. For more than 20 years at Killian Elementary School, she poured her heart into teaching and caring for children. She saw each student as someone worthy of encouragement, attention, and belief. People often left her presence feeling a little more valued and a little more loved.

Her influence reached far outside the classroom. Wherever she went she had a gift for making people feel seen, valued, and capable of accomplishing great things. Diane was a devoted and hands-on Nana. She was a treasured, lifelong friend. She knew how to “bring the fun.”

Diane loved the Lord. The challenges she faced the last several years only drew her closer to Him. Her walls were covered with scripture, God’s promises, because she believed in the power of God’s word and His love for her.

Family

Diane is survived by her children, Jennifer Weathersby and Michael Clue Jr.; her son-in-law, Brandon; her daughter-in-law, Amber; her grandchildren, Nathan, Grace, Ezekiel, Faith, and Malachi; her lifelong friends, who were like family to her; extended family members; and countless friends whose lives are richer because of her love.

Closing

Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in knowing that she is now at peace in the presence of her Savior.

"To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." – 2 Corinthians 5:8
