He was born April 26, 1928 in Budapest, Hungary to Dezso and Rozalia (Ruzsits) Lakatos. In his early 20's, he moved to the United States and began his career in aviation and sales. Loving father of Gabriel and Emma. Proud grandfather of Danielle, Lauren and Matteo. Desi enjoyed reading, sports and spending time with children, grandchildren and good friends. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, kind heart along with dedication to his family.
A celebration of life service took place at 12:30 pm on Friday, August 1st at Church of The Hills at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive Los Angeles, CA 90068. Father Chan Lee officiated. Private burial took place after the service.
