Dennis Lee Harville, a beloved father and cherished friend, passed away on August 26 2024, the age of 58, after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on September 2, 1965, in East Los Angeles, Dennis touched the lives of many with his kind and welcoming demeanor. He spent 18 dedicated years as a Hostler Driver for the railroad at Parsec Inc., a role through which he not only contributed the community but also forged lifelong friendships.
Dennis was a proud graduate of Garfield High School, East Los Angeles, Class of 1984. His educational journey marked the beginning of a life filled with laughter, music, and unwavering love for his family. He had an infectious sense of humor that could brighten even the darkest days, always eager to lend a helping hand when he could.
A true music aficionado, Dennis found solace in the sounds of the 80s, with a particular fondness for artists such as Depeche Mode, The Smiths, and The Cars. His favorite song, "True Faith" by New Order, will forever echo as a reminder of his spirit and joy.
Dennis is survived by his two beloved daughters, Alexis Marie Harville, his eldest, and Jacqueline Ann Harville, his youngest. They were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Though his father, Dennis Lee Harville, and mother, Elvira Highmec, have predeceased him, their love and guidance undoubtedly shaped the man he became.
For those wishing to pay their respects, visitation will be held on September 8, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Lawn - Covina Hills in Covina, California. A funeral service will follow on September 9, 2024, starting at 9:30 AM at the Church of Our Heritage, also located at Forest Lawn - Covina Hills.
As we remember Dennis, let us celebrate a life lived with passion, kindness, and a love for music that brought joy to all who knew him. His legacy will continue through the laughter of his daughters and the loving memories etched in our hearts.
