Demetrio Villegas

Demetrio Villegas was born in Torrance, CA on October 20th, 1976 to Mercedes and Martin, joining his siblings Kathy, Hector, Xochitl and Martin. Eventually he became the big brother of Rosio, Ramon, Jorge, and Erika. Growing up on the streets of Long Beach, Demetrio came to know several souls whom he would call brother or sister for the remainder of his years. He was known as a deeply passionate young man with a strong hunger for something more. He was also quite clever, and used his wits to his advantage whenever possible.

Demetrio and his partner Andrea became parents at 22 with the birth of their daughter Nina. They would later welcome his first son, Julian. Later, Demetrio met and married Elsa, with whom he had his namesake Demetrio-- more commonly known as Cowboy. Demetrio went on to marry Cristina, and immediately welcomed her sons Nathan, Jayden, and Logan into his family as if they were his own.

Demetrio's smarts and drive had led him to a fruitful career in the fashion industry, in which he first made his mark in the company Taryn Rose. His eventual high position allowed him to travel the world, creating life-long memories and experiences that he relished in relaying to anyone who would listen. He particularly enjoyed impressing Teppanyaki chefs with his Japanese. Eventually, Demetrio decided to strike out on his own and founded InStyle Logistics with his business partner Leland Santos in Santa Fe Springs, CA, where he worked in his office bedecked with childhood memorabilia for the remainder of his days.

Demetrio passed away on June 16th, 2026. He is survived by his wife Cristina, his children Nina, Julian, and Cowboy, and his step-children Nathan, Jayden, and Logan. Demetrio's days were filled with laughter, joy, and love for his friends and family. He was the type of person who would fight tooth and nail for what was right, and taught his family to do the same. He is deeply missed by all those whose hearts he touched.
