Demetria Arizala Galeon

Demetria Arizala Galeon, 91 yrs of age, passed away on November 4, 2015 (2 pm Pacific Time). She resided in Glendale, California at the time of her passing.

She was born on December 22, 1923, in Eguia, Dasol, Pangasinan, Philippines to Marcelo Nacino Arizala and Maria Aseo Bonus. She was the 4th of 9 children.

Education was important to her. She was relentless in that pursuit, even if it meant leaving the family in the Philippines which was difficult during her generation. She completed her bachelor's degree in Thailand. In the 60's, she migrated to the United States to join the Adventist Medical Center in Glendale where she worked and retired as a registered nurse (RN). Because of her belief in getting education, she helped several of her nieces and nephews get in school and remain in school. She also gave to charities that supported the building of schools and continue the mission of educating young people.

She was married to Jose Galeon and had 3 stepchildren. While she had no children of her own, she was a mother to many. She helped raise a few nieces, nephews, and grandchildren in whatever way she can. Her loyalty to her family was sterling.

Demetria Galeon was a loving person, kindhearted, and humble. She always had good intentions and assumes good intentions from people. She inspired many with her devotion to the Lord and how she she lived and modeled her Christian faith.

Her love will be in our hearts forever. She will be missed.
