Delores Mae Colon

Delores Mae Colon was born on August 20, 1929 to Adlene Landry Augusta and Earl Augusta (both deceased). She departed this life on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 in the city of Los Angeles.

Delores was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. She met and married Milton Curtis Colon (deceased) and had 3 daughters: Viola Mae Jones (deceased), Jimmieola Mary Colon (deceased), and Carol Marie Colon. She moved to California with her family in 1957. There she had 2 more daughters: Charlotte Anne Nesbit and Cora Lee Colon-Lewis.

She worked very hard as a seamstress for 40 years to care for her family. She had a very deep love for her family. Her greatest joy was to see her grandchildren grow and be a part of their successes in life.

She is survived by her daughters: Carol, Charlotte, and Cora Lee; and her sister Remonia Wallace. Her grandchildren: James Waller, Luke Rachal, Cherise Rogan, Denise Waller, Simone Jordan, Ronald Lewis, Nicole Nesbit, and Briana Nesbit. Her great-grandchildren: Shanice Judis, Myron Rogan Jr, Taylor Rogan, Alexander Rachal, Alexandria Rachal, Nyerere Waller Jr, Jude Rachal, Myles Rogan, Judea Rachal, and Tyler Dumas; and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and in-laws,

She is preceded in death by her parents Adlene and Earl; her sister Eolia Augusta King, her brother Earl (IZ) Augusta Jr; her husband Milton Curtis Colon; and 2 daughters: Viola Jones and Jimmieola Colon; and grandchildren: Glenn Jones Jr and Nyerere Waller.
