Dee Elmo Martin Ii

On January 30, 2019, Dee Elmo Martin II, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away at the age of 87 in Long Beach. Dee II was born on March 31, 1931 to Dee and Grace Martin in Paris, Texas. In 1947, the family moved to Long Beach, California, where he attended Poly High School. On June 23, 1956, Dee II married Roberta Mae Beal at Wayfarers Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Robin and his older brother, James Ian.

Dee II is survived by his children Penelope (Gary Barton), Candace, Dee Anne (John McKenna), Dee III (Kristine Patz), and Cynthia (Russell Kelley); grandchildren Ashlee (Jonathan Hoag) and Lisa Barton, Jeffrey and Christopher Matkin and Riley O'Gara, Joseph and Thomas McKenna, Dee IV and Katherine (Gregory Pruneda), and Daniel McEwen and Tabitha Kelley. He is also survived by his 4-month old great granddaughter Sutton Pruneda.


A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019, 10:30 AM in the Memorial Chapel at Forest Lawn - Long Beach, 1500 East San Antonio Drive, Long Beach, CA 90807.
