Deborah Jean Curry was a woman of extraordinary strength, compassion, and grace — a force of nature who loved fiercely and gave selflessly to those around her.

Born on November 1, 1959, she carried the light of All Saints’ Day within her soul — a light she shared generously throughout her life.

She was a mother, sister, and friend whose wisdom and warmth touched everyone she encountered. She brought so much joy, laughter, and love into our lives and into the lives of everyone who knew her.

As the beloved wife of the late Avelino Pitts Sr., and the devoted mother of Mariko Pitts, Avelino Pitts II, and Norris Owens, she embodied unconditional love in its truest form.

Her joy found new life in her grandson, Avelino Koji Pitts, whose laughter and presence brought her endless pride and delight.

Deborah’s intuitive spirit and deep connection to the divine carried her through every chapter of life — especially her final journey, where her resilience and grace inspired all who witnessed her strength.

She walked the path between worlds with courage, trust, and peace.

She is survived by her children—Mariko Pitts, Avelino Pitts II, and Norris Owens—who carry her love forward in every breath. Her grandson, Avelino Koji Pitts, remains a living echo of her joy. She is also survived by her siblings, Edward, Janet, and Ridgley Curry whose lives are forever touched by her radiant spirit.

Her light now returns home — free, whole, and eternal — shining on through those who love her.
