He graduated from Polytechnic High School in Long Beach, California in 1946 and went on to get a Masters degree in Mathematics from UCLA. He worked as an aerospace engineer, and enjoyed his hobbies of playing piano, chess, poker, and reading. He and his wife enjoyed eating breakfast at local restaurants and doing their crossword puzzles.
He is survived by his wife Jeannette, his former wife Pat and their son Dave, step-son Martin and his son Niles, his step-daughter Andrea, and one brother, Tikey. He was preceded in death by his sister Mary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California.
