David Rivchin

David Rivchin, 83, of Irvine, California, passed away on November 18, 2025. He was born on May 23, 1942, in New York, New York, to the late Marcus Rivchin and Bella Rivchin.

David proudly served in the United States Army before building a long and meaningful career in the textile industry, where he specialized in the manufacturing and importing of men’s clothing, particularly dress shirts and suits. Throughout his life, he approached every endeavor with dedication, resourcefulness, and a deep sense of responsibility to those he loved.

Those who knew David will remember him for his warm and disarming sense of humor, which had a way of lifting spirits even on difficult days. He possessed a quiet, natural intelligence...thoughtful, observant, and deeply perceptive. Whether offering guidance, sharing a story, or simply listening, he brought insight, comfort, and light to the people in his life. His presence was steady and reassuring, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and resilience.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Rivchin; his sons, Jason Rivchin and Andrew Rivchin; his grandson, Aaron Rivchin; and his former spouse, Julie Rivchin, with whom he shared his children. He is also survived by his sister, Marilyn Rivchin, as well as extended family and cherished friends who were fortunate to have been part of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcus and Bella Rivchin, his sister, Libby, and his brother, Jack.

A funeral service will be held on December 20, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. (Pacific Time) at Forest Lawn Memorial Park – Cypress, located at 4471 Lincoln Avenue, Cypress, California 90630.

David will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and carried forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
