Born on July 19, 1931, David lived a life defined by courage, loyalty, and a spirit that stood firm through it all. From a young age, he carried strength that inspired everyone around him. He proudly served his country as a United States Marine, embodying honor, resilience, and that sense of purpose in everything he did. His time in service shaped his character, and those who knew him know he lived every day with that same grit and integrity. David was not only a Marine; he was also a bullfighter, a man unafraid to stand face-to-face with challenges most would turn away from. His bravery was not just found in the arena, but in the way he lived his life. He met hardship with courage, joy with open arms, and loved his family fiercely. Paula was both the love of his life and his best friend. He never wanted to leave her side. Every night without fail, he would kiss her good night. To his children and grandchildren, he was a steady guide, a storyteller, a protector, and a source of endless strength with unconditional love for his family. To his friends, he was loyal, full of humor, and always ready with a firm handshake or a heartfelt word. David had a presence that you knew, from the moment you met him, that you had a friend for life. He taught us to be brave, to stand tall, to work hard and respect others. His legacy is carved not only in the life he lived, but in the lives he touched. He was preceded in death by his parents, six siblings and stepson. He is survived by his beloved wife, Paula; his children, Pilar, David Antonio, Gabby, and Mario; his cherished grandchildren, Cheyanne Ryan, Joshua David, Arianna Kailee, Alessandra Elise, and his two children-in-law Anna and David. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
