Daryn Jeanne Martin Magee

Daryn Jeanne Martin Magee passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 while visiting her parents' home in La Quinta, CA at the age of 55. Born in Los Angeles, CA, to P. Douglas Martin and Donna Reed Martin she was raised in South Pasadena. She graduated from Mayfield Junior School and South Pasadena High School. She attended University of California, Berkeley. Daryn quickly entered a field of convention services and event planning where she discovered her love for event management and helping others on very important days in their lives (birthdays, weddings and celebrations). She received numerous accolades and recognition that spoke to her drive, commitment and extreme attention to detail - her events went without a hitch every time!

Daryn is survived by her children: Kendall Blevens, R. Chantal (Blevens) Garcia, Chandler Blevens and Madison Magee, father P. Douglas Martin, mother Donna Reed Martin, siblings Dianne (Martin) King, Dennis Martin, Devon Martin, grandchildren Emery, Callum, Hailey, Daniel, her nieces Jacqueline and Blythe and nephews Alexander and Clay, along with numerous extended family.

She was predeceased by grandson Kannen Blevens.

Daryn will always be remembered for her thoughtfulness, beautiful smile, unique laugh, and tremendous love for her family. She was kind, fun, diligent, rambunctious and very generous and will be greatly missed by everyone whose life she touched.

Services will be held at 12:30pm on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Holy Family Church in South Pasadena. The family is asking in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local public library - as Daryn was always reading 3 books at a time.Â
