Darlene Freeze

It is with great love and sorrow that we announce the unexpected death of Darlene Rae Freeze. Darlene died at age 87 on December 20, 2023 following the great loss of her sweetheart, Gary Freeze four days prior.  Darlene died peacefully while surrounded by her children.  Darlene was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She is preceded in death by her two children, David and Mark.  Darlene is survived by her five children,  Pamela Smith (Matthew Smith), Valerie Tanner (Brett Tanner), Angela Pentecost (Glenn Pentecost), Douglas Freeze, and Kevin Freeze (Julie Freeze). She had 16 grandchildren and is preceded in death by four great grandchildren and survived by 27 great grandchildren.

Darlene was a devoted elementary school teacher for 30 years.  She dedicated much of her time to service in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served in many capacities throughout her life.  Some of her favorite activities that she enjoyed doing were family activities, quilting, sewing, and reading.  Darlene will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

Arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Cathedral City, California.  Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 40840 Washington St., Bermuda Dunes, CA on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 10:30 am
