Danny Milchovich, 75, was born on June 22, 1950, in Charleroi, Pennsylvania to Adam and Emma Jean Milchovich. Danny passed away on July 14, 2025, at his home in Rancho Cucamonga, California surrounded by his family.

Danny grew up in Stockdale, Pennsylvania and attended Charleroi High School (CHS) where he played varsity football. While attending CHS, Danny met his life partner, Suellyn Kramer (Sue). After high school, Danny attended the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 1972 with a BS in Criminal Justice.

In 1972, Danny and Sue were married and soon moved across the country, settling in California.

Danny was hired by the Covina Police Department, attended the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and graduated as part of Class 160.

Danny served the Law Enforcement community for thirty years, working for the communities of Covina and Inglewood. During his law enforcement career, Danny worked as a Patrol Officer, SWAT member, Detective (SVU and Homicide), Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Captain. Danny retired as a Captain of the Inglewood Police Department in 2002.

During his professional journey, Danny continued his education climb by obtaining a Master in Public Administration from University of Southern California and a Doctorate in Public Administration from the University of La Verne.

Danny was also an accomplished writer. He authored several articles featured in the Los Angeles Times, Police Magazine, PORAC Magazine, and LawOfficer.com, to name a few. Danny also published Political Survival for Cops, in 2016.

In his latest, yet unfinished, manuscript, Danny wrote, “This is a story of a journey…But it is not all about me. It is about a remarkable group of people who came into my life and gently guided a fact driven, evidence only thirty-year law enforcement professional from agnosticism, through Deism, and into the wonder of the dignity and reverence for the power of belief and entrusting my soul to Christ….And most remarkable to me, a hardened adherent to data and objectivity, I began to experience the true meaning of the word ‘faith’…”

With all the professional accomplishments and accolades, Danny would, without hesitation, tell you that his greatest mark in life was his family. Danny and Sue had three children, Daniel (1976), Kelly (1981 – passed away) and Lindsay (1985). Danny prided himself on striking a balance between work and family, whether it was countless hours in a cold hockey rink or hot afternoons at a softball field. Danny will be remembered for his timeless wisdom, quick sense of humor, unwavering love for his family, and his dedicated fandom to the Pittsburgh Steelers and The Three Stooges.

Danny is survived by:

Wife - Suellyn (of 53 years)

Son - Daniel (wife Sarah, sons Tyler and Kaden)

Daughter - Lindsay (husband Jerry, daughter Kaitlyn, and son Beau)

Sister - Linda Larson (husband Bruce, daughter Jennifer)
