East Hampstead, NH: Daniel H. Paquette

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of the world's greatest husband, father and grandfather. While surrounded by his family, Daniel Paquette entered eternal life on January 7th, after a valiant battle with cancer.

Born in Haverhill, MA son of the late Emile and Katherine (Butler) Paquette, Dan attended St. James Grammar School and graduated from Haverhill Trade School with the Class of 1957. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1961 through 1964.

Dan married the love of his life, Judie, on October 28, 1961. Together they raised five children in a house full of love. Their home was the meeting place for many happy gatherings with family and friends. Countless stories were told, traditions begun and memories made on Rutherford Avenue.

Dan was involved in the printing industry all of his life, first as the owner of Paquette Printers and later as the owner of DHP Graphics, Inc. After selling the business in 2002, Dan and Judie discovered the joys of retirement spending time golfing and enjoying the outdoors at both their homes in Florida and New Hampshire. Dan especially cherished his fourteen grandchildren and enjoyed the times they shared together, whether skiing, camping, shooting pool or simply sitting around the campfire sharing stories.

During his younger years, Dan was a member of the Haverhill Jaycees, Saint James Parish in Haverhill, and was active in the Marriage Encounter movement. At the time of his death, Dan was a member of St. Anne's Parish in Hampstead, NH.

Dan is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Judith A. (Gaudette) Paquette, four daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca M. and John DelRosso, Christina B. and Roland Goudreault, Monica J. and George Riley and Erika D. and Douglas Pearson, a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel J. and Helena Paquette, fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Dan also leaves four brothers, Joseph, John, Christopher and Edward Paquette, three sisters, Marie Paquette, Susan Pascucci and Roseanne Paquette and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, Dan was predeceased by his sister, Christina, who entered eternal life as a young child.

Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 2pm to 6pm at Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. His funeral will begin on Monday at 9:15am in the funeral home with a Funeral Mass at 10:30am at St. Anne Church, 26 Emerson Avenue, Hampstead, NH. The rendering of military honors by the United States Army will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Speen Street, Framingham, MA, the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 North Avenue, Haverhill, MA 01830, or the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
