Daniel Gonzales, 80, born on April 13,1940, in Los Angeles, CA., passed away Friday March 19, 2021. He resided in San Bernardino, CA., at the time of his passing. Funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm., on Friday May 14, 2021 at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 21300 E. Via Verde Street, Covina, Ca. 91724
Daniel the son of Henry and Jessie Gonzales, Daniel was one of seven siblings. Daniel joined the Army at age 17. He served our country from 1957-1965. He met and married Linda Lee Hughes in 1959. Daniel and Linda were blessed with six children. Daniel was a self employed business man. Together Daniel & Linda owned and operated several " Taco Treat " fast food franchises throughout the San Gabriel Valley. He was a hard working man who also worked as a Truck Driver and pool man, in between managing the restuarant's. Daniel enjoyed military air shows, boating, going to the movies with his brothers, breakfast at Alice's, tending to his rose bushes and fruit trees, family outings, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In his later years his dogs, Chiquita, Princess, Bonita, Frances, Peanut & Ponchito, filled his days with companionship, joy & happiness. Daniel found simple pleasures in listening to his music " oldies ", watching John Wayne movies, his favorite Judge, Judge Judy, Law & Order & NCIS. He always enjoyed a soda & with some chips/nuts, along with good company & conversation. Daniel was a beloved Son, Brother, Father, Tata, Abuelo, Uncle, Cousin and was the patriarch of the Gonzales Family. Daniel is survived by his six children, Daniel Gonzales, Jr., Robby Gonzales ( Mercie ), Debra Gonzales Giambelluca ( George ), Lisa Gonzales Spangenberg ( William ), Sherry Gonzales, Edna Gonzales Smith ( Brent ). Tata to 17 grandchildren, Abuelo to 15 great-grandchildren. Siblings Michael Gonzales, David Gonzales ( Flo ), George Gonzales ( Georgette ), Joseph Gonzales ( Marylou ),
Virginia Gonzales Perez ( Joseph ), along with the many nieces, nephews & cousins. A good man, hardworking, man of principle, a great teacher and a wonderful Father. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his Father Henry Gonzales, Mother Jessie Gonzales, Brother Henry Gonzales and Wife Linda Gonzales.
