Daniel Cooney

Daniel Cooney, 77, born on May 14, 1949, in Lynwood, CA, United States, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2026. Daniel was a beloved son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend.  Daniel graduated from California State University of Long Beach and spent his professional life in real estate development.  Though he had no children of his own, he was a fixture in his niece and nephew's lives and always an integral part of any family gathering or celebration.  He loved writing poetry, spending time in his garden and doing puzzles.  Later in life he developed a passion for doing Legos, and build many ornate sets with ease. He resided in Lakewood, CA at the time of his passing. He is preceded in death by his Father, John Cooney, his mother, Louise Cooney, and his sister, Patricia Crawford (nee Cooney).  Arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Long Beach, CA.
