With hearts full of love and gratitude, we remember Cynthia Espidol Rubio, who was received into God’s eternal kingdom on June 23, 2025, in Riverside, California, at the age of 72.
Born in Manila, Philippines, to Artemio and Natividad Espidol, Cynthia was a woman of grace, strength, and unwavering faith. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Mary’s College in Quezon City and later pursued her calling as a nurse in the early 1990s. For nearly 30 years, she poured her heart into caring for others, leaving a lasting mark through her compassion, warmth, and dedication.
Cynthia is survived by her caring husband of many years, Alfredo Rubio; her devoted children, Michelle and Alfred; her four adoring grandchildren, Kaylee, Kyan, Karys, and Asher; and her beloved siblings, Iris, Evelyn, and Jun. She was the a devoted wife, a loving mother, a joyful and doting grandmother, and a treasured sister.
Her Catholic faith was the cornerstone of her life. Cynthia’s deep devotion to God and the Blessed Virgin Mary gave her strength and shaped the way she loved and cared for others. She took immense joy in being present for her grandchildren, cheering them on at events, celebrating their achievements, and savoring every moment with them. Her love was constant, her support unwavering, and her pride in her family immeasurable.
Cynthia had a generous and thoughtful spirit. She never forgot a birthday or holiday, always showing her love through heartfelt gifts. She enjoyed life’s simple pleasures including shopping, sweet treats, movies, and most of all, the company of those she loved.
Her warmth, kindness, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Though we will miss her dearly, we find peace in knowing that she is now free from pain, embraced in eternal peace. Her love lives on in us, and her beautiful legacy will continue to guide and comfort us always.
