Cresencio Garcia, 88, born on April 19, 1938, in Costa Mesa, CA, passed away June 15, 2026. He resided in Santa Ana, CA at the time of his passing. He leaves behind wife of 69 years - Mary Garcia, 5 children Chris, Suzanna, John, Barbara and Sandra, 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Chris, son of John and Mary Garcia grew up in Costa Mesa attending Main Elementary, Ray Middle School and leaving NewPort High School in the 11th grade after lettering in track. Chris was only 9 years old when he started driving the trucks in the fields, and at the age of 12 years old he worked to help the family farm picking tomatoes. A drive to the supermarket was where he spotted the love of his life Mary. Chris and Mary were married May 27th, 1957 and soon after started their family. While raising the children Chris worked at the Carwash, Owned "Garcia's Cafe", mechanic with Dave Fitch and then began a career in construction as a Laborer and a Shoot Man, from 1970-2008.

Chris loved cars, sports, and, above all, his family. On the weekends, you could often find him strolling through a swap meet or admiring classic cars at a local car show. He was one of our biggest supporters, never missing an opportunity to cheer on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren at their sporting events, school performances, and special milestones. No matter the occasion, he was there, encouraging us from the sidelines with pride. He believed deeply in the value of education and always reminded us to do our best, work hard, and never give up.

In his final days, as he courageously battled Parkinson's disease, Chris was surrounded by the love of his family and his sisters. Their presence brought him comfort and peace, reflecting the deep bonds he cherished throughout his life. Chris's life will be honored in accordance with his wishes through a public Mass followed by a private burial. In lieu of flowers, Chris requested that donations be made to the animal shelter listed below, a cause that was close to his heart. Our family sincerely appreciates the love, prayers, condolences, and support shown during this difficult time.
