Courtney Elizabeth Hyde

Courtney Elizabeth Hyde Del Broccolo passed away on June 18, 2018. She was born on April 11, 1981 in Portland, Maine. She grew up in her beloved hometown of Buxton, where she developed a love of the Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins, ice cream from Beal's and comfy sweaters from L.L. Bean. After attending high school in Oklahoma and a brief stop in South Carolina, Courtney eventually settled in Burbank, California, where she was a devoted mother to the adorable Darby Shea, who looks and acts just like her beautiful mama, and Robert (Bobby) Courtney, who is still a little bitty thing, but we're all praying also grows up to look like mom. Courtney was a doting human to her favorite dogs, Linus, Abbie and Daphne, and a loving wife and best friend to husband, Anthony, who will never stop loving and missing her, but has so many wonderful, hilarious and crazy memories to keep her alive forever in his heart. She is survived by her parents, Roger and Claire Hyde -- who helped her become the brilliant, thoughtful woman she was -- and also gifted her with a love of board games. She will also be remembered by countless friends and relatives from California to Maine. Courtney was a uniquely talented writer, graphic designer, actress and educator who lived to create, teach and inspire -- and also kick your butt at trivia (especially Disney trivia.) Courtney was valedictorian of her graduating class at Woodbury University. Seriously, she was wicked smart.

A Visitation Service will be held on Friday, June 29th from 5 to 9pm at Forest Lawn - Hollywood Hills. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 30th at 5:30pm at Forest Lawn - Hollywood Hills (6300 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, California). In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in Courtney's honor to the Los Angeles Zoo (lazoo.org) and the Burbank Animal Shelter, located at 1150 N Victory Pl, Burbank, CA 91502.
