Corrine Marie Ehrick, age 89, resident of Burbank, California, went to be with her Lord on March 3, 2019. She was born May 1, 1929 to Valentino and Genevieve (Gonzales) Bustos in Rawlins, Wyoming. Her education was completed at Roosevelt High School in Los Angeles, California. She married the love of her life, Clarence K Ehrick, September 7, 1950, who preceded her in death in 1978.
Corrine lived her life fully for Jesus! She was "Born Again" in the 1960s, yet had a personal relationship with Jesus since childhood. As a committed woman of faith, she projected His love and light wherever she went and to whomever she met. Two of her favorite songs were "Amazing Grace" and Jesus Loves Me". She loved to sing and dance and her laugh was a joyous one, long to be remembered. Some favorite pastimes included Yahtzee, crossword puzzles, word searches and family gatherings.
In the 1980s and '90s, her heart led her to serve her Lord, first as a missionary, then as Administrator at the Baja Mission of Foundation for His Ministry-Christian Orphanage and Outreach. Corrine traveled to diverse places, foreign and domestic, to share God's Word. Afterward, she continued to serve on the U.S. board as an ambassador to the mission, as well as prison ministry. Hers was a servant's heart and she served joyously and generously. She often mentioned these as being the most blessed and happy times of her later years.
Corrine was a lovingly adored sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her brother, Jerry Castillo and Sister-in-Law Marcie Findley, her children Eileen Peterson (Dan), Nancy Bryan (Bill), Sue Martin (Jim), Patti Plunkett (Steve), and her son, David Ehrich, grandchildren Kris (Aleshia), Annie, Kasey (Tracy), Austin, Jessica, Melissa, and Katie, plus great-grandchildren Ryan, Alysan, Topher, Lucas, and Charlie.
"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:4-7
Service honoring Corrine will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills at 12pm.
