Corazon Tolentino Pagkatipunan

April 15, 1943 — November 15, 2021

Corazon "Cory "Pagkatipunan passed away on Nov 15, 2021. Her sudden departure from this world was completely unexpected, leaving family and friends shocked and deeply saddened. She will be truly missed in so many ways.
Cory was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and Aunt. She is survived by husband Celso, her children Rod, Antonette, Rey and Joyce. She is Mama to her 16 grandchildren, Barbie, Christof, Xavier, Rio, Isaac, Jennifer, Jonathan, Joseph, Dillon, Ronell, Danielle, Trisha, LJ, Jasmyn, Justine, and Jenna, her 5 great grandchildren, Avery, Eligh, Jace, Penelope and Dimas. She also left behind 2 daughters in-law, Dolly and Marie, her two sons-in- law, Chris and Dennis, her sisters, Zeny, Tessie, and Lily, as well as many nieces and nephews. They were the center of her life and she gave everything she could to make sure everyone lived a happy life.
Although Cory's greatest joy was having her grandchildren and great grandchildren around her, Cory had a gift of making everyone feel like family. She regularly checked on people she knew and was always a source of love, generosity, and positivity. Her family and friends describe Cory as kind, loving, caring, warm, awesome, wonderful, generous, and life of the party.
Cory was born in Manila, Philippines on April 15, 1943. She migrated to the United States in 1980 to live the American dream. While in the Philippines, she worked for the Department of Public Works and Highways. In Los Angeles, she was connected with several companies- Transamerica, May Company, Kaiser, Cedars Sinai and the USC Verdugo Hills Hospital. She was a Tupperware and Avon distributor. She was dedicated to promoting the 2000 Hail Mary every 1st Saturday. On top of all of these, she is an avid Laker and Kobe fan.
Cory will be missed more than words can say. Those of us who were blessed to have been touched by her, know that her existence and the imprint she left in our hearts will far exceed the length of time she was here on earth.
