Corazon Alcovindas Nucum, fondly known as Cora, passed away on October 8, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness that has deeply touched all who had the fortune to know her. Born on December 29, 1953, in Pasig City, Philippines, she dedicated 45 years of her life to the noble profession of dentistry, practicing her craft in the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, and the United States.
Cora was not just a devoted dentist; she was an incredible human being with a pure heart who always uplifted others above herself. Her family was her greatest joy, and she made it her mission to ensure their needs were taken care of before considering her own. She was a loving wife to her husband Noel, a caring mother to her son Romy and daughter-in-law Rachelle, and a joyful grandmother to her treasured grandchildren, Red, Andre, Emman and Kirsten. Those who were privileged to be part of her family knew her as a responsible sister, an adoring aunt to her countless nephews and nieces and a source of unwavering support and affection.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Cora was passionate about giving back to her community. During her time as a member of the Lion's Club in the Philippines, she took pride in volunteering for free dental services, providing care to the poor and needy. This deep-rooted commitment to helping others defined her character and inspired those around her to embody the same spirit of generosity.
Cora's warmth and kindness were not limited to her work; they extended to every aspect of her life. She loved nothing more than spending time with her grandkids, often treating her family to delightful lunches or dinners. Her home was a sanctuary of joy and laughter where love was abundant and memories were cherished.
As we gather to honor and remember Cora, we can take comfort in knowing that her legacy lives on in the hearts she touched and the lives she improved with her kindness and warmth. Her visitation will take place on October 24, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM at Forest Lawn - Glendale (Chapel 17 and 18), followed by a funeral service on October 25, 2025, at 2:30 PM at the Little Church of the Flowers in Glendale.
Cora Alcovindas Nucum will be profoundly missed, but the incredible impact she made on her loved ones and the countless lives she touched will remain etched in our hearts forever.
