Our beloved Consuelo Aguirre, age 102, was born on February 13, 1922, in Monterrey, NL, Mexico. She peacefully passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at 10:05 a.m in North Riverside, IL, surrounded by the love of her family, under the warmth of a sunny sky. Birds were chirping and singing uncommonly loud in the backyard at the time of her last breath. It is said that hearing birds singing as someone is dying is a symbolic representation of the soul leaving the body, while the birds serve as messengers, communicating that she is being embraced by the spirits of her past loved ones. With tear filled eyes, we were able to say our goodbyes, and send her off with our final kisses, hugs, and last whispers of love. Beautiful, unforgettable moments as she departed the world we know.
Consuelo Aguirre was truly a vessel of love. The love she gave wasn’t just a feeling—it was something you could see, touch, and feel. It was in every delicious meal she made, every story she told, and every embrace she gave. It was in the way she nurtured not just her children, but all of us who were lucky enough to know her. Her hugs, kisses, sweet cariños made one feel like they were the luckiest person on earth. That truly was her greatest gift among all her talents.
Consuelo, Connie, Chelito, Mom, Mamá, Abuelita, Tita, Grandma, your earthly absence will be greatly felt, but we strongly believe that ALL of your descendants:
6 children,
19 grandchildren,
31 great grandchildren,
5 great great grandchildren will strive to live their lives encompassing the love, compassion and strength she modeled all throughout her life.
She was one in a million!
This phrase was found written in one of her many journals-
"We don't know what fate has in store for us tomorrow, so don't be angry for too long, learn to forgive, love with all your heart and don't worry about the people who don't love you, enjoy those who love you."
❤️
Let us stay united as we reflect on the beautiful life she created, and honor her life by choosing love above everything. She is now free and in the arms of our creator and past loved ones.
Thank you to all for your love and support. ❤️

"I’M FREE"
By ANNE LINDGREN DAVISON
Don’t grieve for me for now I’m free, I’m following the path God laid for me I took his hand when I heard him call, I turned my back and left it allI could not stay another day,To laugh, to love, to work or play, tasks left undone must stay that way,I’ve found that peace at the close of dayIf my parting has left a void,Then fill it with remembered joy, A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things I too will miss Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish for you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life’s been full, I’ve savored much,Good friends, good times, my loved one’s touch If my time seemed all too brief, Don’t lengthen it now with undue griefLift up your heart, rejoice with me, God wanted me now, He set me free.
