Connie Rodriguez

Connie was a Covina resident for 53 years, and was 94 years when she passed on May 21, 2013 at her home.

She was born on April 24, 1919 in the village of Villa Aldama, Chihuahua, Mexico. Her parents were Catalina and Florencio, and predeceased her. She was from a family of six siblings, one brother and four sisters. She married Roman Cruz Rodriguez on December 28, 1941, and celebrated their 62nd anniversary. Roman passed on September 27, 2003. Connie worked as a teenager to support her family, and then was a homemaker and family CFO. She was co-owner of an underground construction firm she and her husband established in 1960. She was a resident of California from 1942 to 2013.

Connie was an accomplished artist, avid gardener, an outstanding cook, and world traveler.

Connie is survived by five of her children, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, and three great, great grandchildren, one sister, and extended family.

Memorial Service is May 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Church of Our Heritage, Covina Forest Lawn Memorial Park – 21300 Via Verde Drive, Covina, CA 91724. Phone 800/204-3131. Internment to follow service.
