Conchita Quiano Sunga (1935–2026)
A quiet life, deeply lived, rooted in love, sustained by sacrifice, and defined by the way she cared for those closest to her.
With deep love and gratitude, we remember Conchita Sunga, who passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026, at the age of 90.
Born on November 8, 1935, in Pampanga, Philippines, Conchita grew up in a large family where, more often than not, she took on the role of nurturing, providing, and caring for her siblings. That bond with her brothers and sisters remained one of the deepest and most constant loves of her life. She did not just grow up among them. She helped hold them together.
She married her beloved husband, Domingo Sunga, and together they built a family that became her lifelong devotion. She was a mother to six children, carrying both the joy of raising them and the quiet sorrow of loss, including a son she held only briefly in this life. When her husband passed in 2013, she continued on with the same quiet strength that had always defined her, never asking for much, but always giving everything.
Conchita was a teacher in the Philippines, a role that reflected her natural ability to guide, nurture, and uplift others. She had a gentle and steady presence, offering care not only to her family but to those around her. Her life was marked by kindness, patience, and quiet generosity.
She found deep joy in spending time with her sisters, sharing laughter, memories, and a connection that endured through every stage of life. Above all, she loved her family, both the one she was born into and the one she built. Her love was constant and enduring, the kind that quietly holds everything together.
She is survived by her children, Elen Sierra, Gerardo Sunga, Froilan Sunga, and Annaleah Domin, and her grandchildren, Alex, Monica, and Nicole Sierra; Gabby Sunga; Gerard, Gerome, and Gemalene Sunga; AJ and Curt Sunga; and Bobby, Tristan, and Dominic Domin.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Domingo Sunga, and two of her children.
Conchita leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion, one that lives on in the family she nurtured, the siblings she cherished, and the lives she quietly shaped.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 5:00 PM at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, Faith Chapel, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90068.

She will be remembered not only for what she did, but for how she loved, quietly, faithfully, and without condition.
