Concepcion Marquez Calderon

Concepcion Concha Calderon passed away May 13, 2014 in Lemoore, CA. Concha was born to Rosario Bello and Emilio Marquez March 8, 1923 in Calexico, CA. She married Philip Calderon on June 12, 1947 in Mexicali, BC. Together they had six children. She worked as a sorter/packer for Ben Laflin, David Friedman, Cardinal and Gilroy Foods. She was preceded in death by her husband Philip Sr, her son Philip Jr, granddaughter Veronica Calderon and grandson Javier Ortiz, sisters Carolina Bello, Ramona De La Torre and brothers Jose Angel Marquez, Roberto Marquez and Antonio Ramirez. She is survived by her sons Jose (Betty) of Coachella, CA, Lupe (Rosa) of Desert Hot Springs, CA , Carlos (San Juana) of Shafter, CA and her daughters Martha Modesto of Coachella, CA and Jenny Ortiz. (Basilio) of Lemoore, CA. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.,
Services are Wednesday May 28, 2014 at Forest Lawn 82975 Requa Avenue Indio, CA 92201: Visitation 9:00 am, Rosary 10:00 am, Mass 11:00 am and burial immediately following at Coachella Valley Cemetary. Reception will be 1:30-5:00 pm at the Eagles Lodge 46425 Tyler St, Coachella, CA 92236.
