Colombina Colleen Lombino

Colombina Colleen Lombino, 79, born on July 28, 1938, in Los Angeles, California, passed away December 19, 2017 at her home in Indio, California. Beloved wife of 55 years to Jack, mother to Vincent, Matthew and Steven (deceased), Colleen was a teacher at Point Fermin Elementary (San Pedro) for 23 years, working with kids both in regular and bilingual (Spanish) classes. Proud of her Italian heritage, Colleen was awarded scholarships to study language in Perugia, Italy. Upon returning to Point Fermin, she began teaching Italian to upper grade level students. A graduate of UCLA, Colleen enjoyed going to both Bruin football and basketball games, as well as attending the theater and the LA/ San Francisco/San Diego Opera, all with her husband, Jack. Colleen was an outstanding wife, mother, teacher, friend, also possessing the most amazing smile! Full of love, laughter and compassion, Colleen will be dearly missed. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Indio, California.
