Colin J. Hassett

Lowell, MA: Colin J. Hassett, 22, of Lowell, died December 3, 2016 in Lowell.

Born in Nashua, NH son of Steven E and Leigh (Springman) Hassett, he was educated through elementary and middle schools in Nashua and was a member of the Nashua Youth Soccer League before moving to Somers,CT. Colin was a member of Somers High School Class of 2012 and attended Manchester Community College. He was employed as a cashier at Geissler's Market for several years.

Colin enjoyed photography, drawing, music, skateboarding, and skiing.

He is survived by his father Steven E. Hassett and his fiancé Janet Kalish of Somers, CT, his mother Leigh (Springman) (Hassett) Lemieux of Atkinson, NH sisters, Devin A. Hassett of So.Portland, ME, and Emilie N. Lemieux of Atkinson, grandfather Douglas Springmann and his wife Dr. Sebastiana Gagliano-Springman of Virginia, grandmother Lucie (Goodstein) Springman of So. Portland, stepbrothers Evan Kalish and Bryan Kalish, both of Connecticut, his girlfriend, Jennifer Gaboriault of Beverly, MA, his cat 'Biggie", and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Life Celebration to be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 3 to 5 pm. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will follow at 5:15 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the NH Humane Society.
