Clemencia Marzan

Clemencia Obar Marzan, beloved mother, sibling, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on October 9th, 2025 surrounded by family.

Born in the Philippines (La Union) on November 23, 1944, Clemencia (Mencie) lived a life filled with love of family, hard work, and generosity of spirit. She immigrated to the United States in 1968 and eventually settled in Cerritos, CA where she built a beautiful life together with her husband Virgil and two daughters. 

Mencie was the matriarch and pioneer of her family and courageously paved the way for her siblings to join her in America. She grew a career as a financial controller for 55 years in the heart of LA's garment and fashion district, with the last 25 years at Lily Bleu -- her second family beyond her retirement last year.

Mencie will always be remembered for her selfless nature and her grit to build. Her kindness extended far beyond her own home, touching lives through her generosity, tenacity and endless belief in those she loved. 

She is survived by her husband Virgil Marzan, daughters Jennifer Marzan (Jeff Lin) and Joanne Marzan, two granddaughters and one grandson who will forever cherish her memory.

Celebration of life events will be held at Forest Lawn in Cypress. Formal RSVP to the Marzan family is requested.
