Claudine was born on August 1st, 1935 in Caruthersville, Missouri to Annie Mae Perkins and Oscar Chapman. She was one of fourteen children and she came into this world with her twin brother Claude, who passed when they were young. As the 3rd oldest, she helped take care of her younger siblings. It was something she took great pride in. This was a trait she carried throughout her life, later taking care of her own children; grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and friends. Claudine was raised in Missouri, but in 1968 she and her children moved to Los Angeles, California where she began the next chapter of her life. In the early 80's, she met and married Richard Jackson. She worked at Santa Monica Hospital for over 20 years. During that time she was also very active in her community. She would teach the ladies how to crochet, sew, cook, share recipes, and give advice when needed. She was loved by all.

Claudine Jackson came into this world with a twin by her side and a fire in her spirit. She was fierce in love, brave brave in the face of trials, and resilient through every storm. Her words were honest, her laughter contagious, her presence unforgettable. She spoke her mind and stood her ground. She fought for those she loved, family was her heart's greatest treasure. Claudine lived boldly, loved deeply, and left a mark that time cannot erase. To know her was to be inspired by her strength. And to lose her is to know just how deeply she was loved.

To all the people out there, from my Mom, her favorite last words; "I love you more!". - Bridget Gray.

Dear Mom, I know you are in heaven. I thank God for welcoming you and I'm already missing you. You are a good mother and I thank you for making a woman out of me and I thank God that I got a chance to tell you that I'm gonna miss our conversations over the phone. Even times when I didn't say much. But I'm so glad that when I came out there in October that we had such a good time and I thank God for that. I know you're gonna continue to watch out for me. I'm gonna miss you so much. May God bless you and you rest in peace. I love you, Mom. - Love Nikki.
