Claudia Santos Camanag

Claudia Santos Camanag, known to family and friends as "Oding", passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2021 at the age of 89. Claudia was preceded in death by loving husband Constantino "Tanty" Camanag; parents Engracio and Damiana Santos; and siblings Silvina, Estanislao, Fernando, Pastor, Victorino, and Roman. She is survived by sons Elmer (Gin-Hee) of Buena Park, CA; Noel (Sandy) and granddaughter Kylie of Camarillo, CA; and Edwin of Cerritos, CA; and siblings Nicerata and Margarito. Born in the Philippines to Engracio and Damiana Santos, she graduated from Emiliano Tria Tirona Memorial National High School (E.T.T.M.N.H.S) in Kawit, Cavite, then married in 1958 and became a dedicated US Navy wife, raising the family in Alameda, CA, Honolulu, HI, Oxnard, CA, and finally settling in Cerritos, CA. After a long career as a keypunch operator at Automatic Data Processing, Inc., she enjoyed her retirement with close friends and family line dancing, taking leisure cruises, and partying with various service and community groups including the Filipino-American Veterans and the Kawitenos Associations.
Those who knew and loved Claudia "Oding" Camanag are welcome to join his family for a Memorial and Burial Service on May 21st at 1 P.M. at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Cypress, CA. Visitation hours will take place on Thursday, May 20th from 1 to 4 P.M. at the Church of Our Fathers, Forest Lawn in Cypress, CA.
