Obituary

Clarita "Claring" Redondo, born on July 5, 1932, in Davao, Philippines, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026, in Long Beach, California. She was a strong-willed, generous, kind, caring, and loving woman whose presence enriched the lives of all who knew her.

Clarita’s early life was marked by hard work as a child laboring in the fields of Davao, a testament to her resilience and determination. Throughout her adult years, she embraced the demanding role of a devoted housewife, tending with great care to her household and raising her children with unwavering love and dedication. Known for her impeccable sense of fashion and culinary talents, she delighted her family and friends with delicious meals and stylish elegance. Her pride was evident in having guided her children to higher education and having successfully relocated the family to a foreign land, exemplifying her courage and commitment to providing better opportunities for her loved ones.

Beyond her household duties, Clarita found joy in playing mahjong, as well as watching K-Dramas and mukbangs, hobbies that brought her relaxation and entertainment.

Clarita was predeceased by her cherished husband, Isagani Redondo, and her beloved daughter, Clarissa Redondo Genove.

She is survived by her loving son, Ronnie Redondo; her devoted daughters, Stella Redondo Speedone and Gemma Redondo; her nephews, Richard Redondo and Dico Redondo; and her nieces, Deborah Redondo and Sandra Redondo Umali. She is also lovingly remembered by her cherished grandchildren: Ron Genove, Christine Umali Blanco, Lay Genove, Troy Genove, Jonella Dombrowski (together with her husband Anthony Dombrowski), and Anastacia Sales (together with her husband Sherwin Sales). She was also graced with a beloved great-grandson, Kanan Dombrowski. Their lives reflect the love, strength, and values she so selflessly shared with her family.

Visitation for Clarita Redondo will be held on June 12, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Forest Lawn - Long Beach - Mission Room, located at 1500 East San Antonio Drive, Long Beach, CA 90807. The funeral service will follow on the same day from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn - Long Beach - Cathedral Chapel at the same address.

Clarita Redondo’s life was a testament to strength, generosity, and unwavering dedication to family. Her memory will continue to inspire and comfort her beloved family and friends. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
