OBITUARY
Clara R Williams was born October 25, 1918 in Sunflower County, Mississippi. At the tender age of 22 she met and married the love of her life, John C. Williams, Sr. They were married for 35 years and blessed with eight beautiful children.

Around 1940 Clara and John, Sr. moved to California. Clara was a wonderful person and she celebrated many accomplishments during her lifetime. She and her husband owned a very successful dry cleaning business in the Los Angeles Area. They later went on to build and establish a family real estate business consisting of four Brokers and five salespersons
.
Clara was a devoted Christian who worshiped most of her adult life at Figueroa Church of Christ. She enjoyed Bible Classes with the sisters and fellowshipping with her congregation.

While family was the center of Clara's life, she participated in many activities and had various interests that kept her busy. She was known for her green thumb and grew various species of plants, vegetables and flowers. Clara was also quite the entrepreneur. She turned her passion of sewing and gardening into a business and along with her Sister(s)-n-law, selling their garments and plants at the local swap meet.

Family gatherings were the highlight of her life; she loved socializing and reminiscing about the past. She traveled to many places and attended every family reunion that she could.

Clara enjoyed and treasured her family most of all. She was loving, caring, giving, and compassionate. She never missed an opportunity to show the true meaning of "Southern Hospitality".

Clara is survived by four daughters; Willie L. Kessee, Mattie Thrash (Michael), Violet Kemple (Gregory), Clara B. Williams; two sons, Judge and Bennie Williams; ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
