Claire M. Fournier

Claire M. Fournier, 62 of Haverhill, MA passed away peacefully on Friday, October 10, 2014 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, with her family by her side.

She was born in Lawrence, MA on September 29, 1952 the daughter of the late Walter and Gilberte (Gosselin) Fournier. She was raised and educated in Lawrence, MA and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Lawrence, Class of 1970.

As a younger woman, Claire had worked locally in the shoe industry as a piece worker. She had also worked at Hewlett-Packard in Andover, MA for many years. She has worked as a medical assistant at Pentucket Medical in Haverhill, MA for several years. She was currently working as an assembler at Raytheon Corporation in Andover, MA where she had also worked for several years.

Claire was an avid reader and gardener. She loved to lounge around in her brother's pool during the summer. She loved to cook and bake and spend holidays with her family.

Claire is survived by her sisters, Louise Fournier of Haverhill, MA and Lisa Michaud and husband, John of Lawrence, MA. Brothers, Raymond Fournier and wife, Carol of Sandown, NH and Robert Fournier and fiancé, Chong Wilkins of Methuen, MA. Her niece, Melanie Thompson and husband, Robert, her nephews, Scott Fournier and wife, Heather and Adam Michaud. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, 2 great nephews Paxton and Talon and 1 great niece Ivy also survive her. Claire was predeceased by her nephew, Andrew Fournier.

Friends and family are invited to attend Claire's Life Celebration on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from 4 – 8:00 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street (Rt. 121A), Plaistow, NH 03865. Funeral Services will take place on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Andover, MA.
