Christopher Moss

  Christopher Eric Moss, loving son and father of two, passed on the evening of Monday, March 20th, 2023, at the age of 42. Christopher Moss was born to William Moss and Dolly Shaw in Los Angeles, California on November 1, 1979.  

  Chris had a wonderful childhood as a child. He attended the Boys & Girls Club and went to school in Santa Monica. As a child, he traveled to various cities with his father, William. He also made a lot of friends and was loved by everyone.   

   He graduated from Santa Monica High School in 1997, where he began dating Tenecia, and he attended SMC for college. On October 18, 2001, Chris became a first-time father to his daughter Alexis, whom he had with Tenecia. Later, on October 14th, 2017, he and Valencia welcomed a baby boy named Chris Jr Aka CJ into the world. 

   He received his guard card and began working as a security guard at Sears in Santa Monica. He always kept his options open and worked in a variety of professions in various sectors in search of his passion. He acquired his CDL license and began working as a truck driver in 2021. When he was on the road, he was devoted to his work. Within a year's time, he went from being a regular employee to a trainer to a manager. He won an award in October 2022 for being a safe and dependable truck driver. He was ranked ninth out of 8,000 truckers for his safe driving record on the road. 

  Chris was a lively individual who enjoyed learning new things, telling amazing stories, and spending as much time as possible with his loved ones. He also enjoyed trying new meals, taking walks on the beach, and watching basketball and football. 

  He will forever be remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor, helpfulness, and loving soul.

  He was preceded in death by his mother Dolly Shaw and is survived by his father William, his siblings Greg, Andrea, and Yolanda, his nieces and nephews, his two children Alexis and CJ, his stepdaughter Alysha and her mother Valencia, his lifelong best friend Tenecia, his little partners in crime Jacob and Jayden, and his mother-in-law Lucy. As well as, his close friends and family.
