Christopher Joseph Kane

May 4, 1928 — November 20, 2016

Christy Kane, age 88, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away peacefully on November 20, 2016. Born in Dublin, Ireland he left home to join the British Royal Air Force at age 17. In 1948, while visiting Red Rock he met the love of his life, Gertie Larkin. In 1963 the Kane family emigrated to the USA and settled in Brooklyn, New York. Through hard work and perseverance they became the proud owners of the Blarney Stone Irish Pub in Manhattan. In 1976 our family relocated to Los Angeles, CA where he settled into his second career with General Motors from which he retired in 1992. He was dedicated to his family and was loved and admired by those who had the pleasure to know him. His dry wit and humor will be sorely missed.

Christy is preceded in death by his sons John and David. He is survived by Gertie, his loving wife of 65 years, sons Christopher and Joseph and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
