Christine Barbara Ruth Traylor Dumas

February 26, 1933 — July 28, 2022

Christine Traylor Dumas, 89 years of age, passed on Thursday July, 28, 2022. Christine was born February 26, 1933, in Anniston, Alabama, to the late Simon and Louise Traylor. She was one of the ten children, including four brothers and six sisters.
Christine moved from Alabama with her son in 1958 to Los Angeles, California. She met her late Husband Aaron Dumas and married in 1960 and lived in Los Angeles until they moved to Santa Maria, Ca and later settled in Ventura, Ca.
While living in Ventura, she became interested in Calligraphy at the local Senior Citizens Center. As she became more proficient, she enrolled in Ventura Junior College to further her craft. She would often tell me how enjoyable it was to be around young College students and how accepting they were of her.
Later she got involved with the Ventura County Fair as a Host and also became a participant and decided to enter several of her Art Projects. She earned more than a few accolades and Awards for her entries and contributions.
She Loved to be with her Family and Friends, hosting, entertaining and preparing food to be enjoyed. The Family referred to her as Aunt Christine and always had complete attendance; because everyone knew "Tine" owned the kitchen and anything she prepared would be thoroughly enjoyed and there would always be left overs to take home.
On July 28, 2022, Christine Traylor Dumas departed from us. Leaving behind fond memories to cherish is her son Dale, Daughter in Law Cherie, two Grandchildren Dereck and Camille and a Great Grandchild Essien. Brother Raymond Traylor, Sisters Helen Moore and Julia Morse, nieces, nephews, Stepchildren and a host of relatives and Friends.
She was preceded in death by her Parents Simon and Louise Traylor, Husband Aaron Dumas, Brothers Charles Traylor, Simon Traylor and John Traylor; and Sisters, Margaret Pierce, Mary Simpson and Elizabeth Traylor.
